If you are like me, you have a bit of a sweet tooth. When you get those urges of grabbing a candy bar at check out, try a different option. It takes a little pre-planning but it is so worth it.
I realize when I have a sweet cravings it usually means my body has no carbohydrates. A great way to quickly get sugar into my system is fruit. It is summer which means fruit is getting more abundant and cheaper. I love fruit tarts (home made of course), fruit kabobs, pina colada (non-alcholic), and fresh squeezed lemonade. They make me feel better and eliminate that craving. So next time you are just hankering for something sweet, thing naturally sweet with fruit.
