Mosquito Free Night

Yeah nothing like watching fireworks while fighting off mosquitos. I really recommend that you think about the bug spray this year. Mosquitos are awful creatures that carry many blood born diseases like Malaria which kills over a million people a year. In dry areas we don't have problems with Malaria but you never know what else they are carrying.

Here are some things that can help keep your summer bites at a minimum.

1. Time your activities before the nasty creatures emerge to hunt for blood.

2. Bug repellant. You can buy it at a store or try burning dried sage. I did it this year and have fewer bugs.

3. Position fans to create a light breeze. Their devil ridden wigs have a hard time with wind.

4. After dark, wear long, loose fitting, close weave cloths. It gets colder at night anyway so it isn't as hot as it sounds.

5. ZAP THE VAMPIRE RIP OFFS! Maybe it is just me, but as a child it was very satisfying to hear the 'zap' of another 'creature of death's' little bodies returning to the ashes which it crawled out of.
