Easy Workout on the Run

I went for a walk with my boys. They ride in a sit and stand stroller which is not made for running. It makes it very hard to go on jogs. So I made a workout routine that my 4 year old does along side me while I push the stroller. You don't have to have a stroller to do this but it really helped support me in some of the motions. Follow this routine on your next walk with a stroller, or just on your next walk.

  • Warm up with a fast walk for 5 minutes

  • 15 lunges
  • 30 butt kicks
  • 30 high knees
  • 15 side kicks
  • 15 back kicks
  • (Put the kid in the stroller again) and fast walk for 5 minutes
  • pull over and do 15 side lunges
  • lift your kid and do 15 squats
  • Repeat until you are done with your walk
You will be surprised how amazing this works your hips and rear end. It was really fun having my kids do it with me and enjoy a walk while I got my workout. As always, make sure to stretch when you get home and drink lots of water.
